SmartPoint.IO and Curiosity Lab

Smart City Expo USA

SmartPoint.IO and the City of Peachtree Corners’ Curiosity Lab are in Miami this week at Smart City Expo USA demonstrating what’s next in edge computing. The technical demo is built on three core use cases that contribute to the city’s objectives of increased citizen engagement, safer traffic management, and bridging the digital divide.

Two SmartPoint.IO kiosks feature high-performance digital signage with touchscreen wayfinding, wireless access points for public WiFi, and SmartPoint.IO’s multi-access edge compute (MEC) node that is processing environmental data and IP camera feeds to identify anomalies and patterns to generate data insights. Also included in the solution showcase are two Juganu Smart Poles with smart lighting control, embedded cameras, and telecommunications devices. Deployed alongside one another at the Curiosity Lab, the SmartPoint kiosks and Juganu Smart Poles are live demonstrations of what is within reach of cities looking to address important citizen needs within their communities. In addition to the tech demo on the conference floor, SmartPoint.IO CEO, Eric Hornsby will be joined by City of Peachtree Corners CTO and Assistant City Manager, Brandon Branham on a panel discussion that addresses what is possible with smart technology and how cities can get started on their own smart city projects.

Finally, SmartPoint.IO opened registration for a SmartPoint.IO NFT, powered by IoTeX, which will grant perks and privileges when SmartPoint.IO launches its Web3 campaign.
